Steelhead Fishing

The best steelhead fishing in the western United States is on the Clearwater River beginning with Catch and Release season in September. With the lower water, it is a great time for fly fishing. We take out drift boats to enhance this method of fishing. Catch and Keep season begins in October and runs through April 30. Some of our clients prefer drift boat fishing and some jet boats during the Catch and Keep season. We are fully licensed and qualified guides to enhance your fishing experience.

The average steelhead taken from the Clearwater River is 12 to 14 pounds with the 20 plus pounders abundant.

Chinook Salmon Fishing

The best Spring Chinook Salmon fishing in the United States is from May 5 to the end of June and possibly beyond. We are fully licensed and qualified guides to enhance your fishing experience.
The average Spring Chinook Salmon taken from the Clearwater River in the 2003 season were 20 pounds with 30+ pounders retrievable.

Dworshak Fishing and Family Trips

Create your own personal mini vacation package on beautiful Dworshak Reservoir, over 50 miles long. Take the opportunity to camp, picnic, fish or just take a scenic trip and snap pictures

For those who want to fish, Clearwater Drifters will supply the tackle, bait and professional guide to help you catch kokanee, bass or trout. A shoreline lunch will be served.

Trips

All of our boats are heated, new or near new, and fully equipped with the finest in quality equipment and tackle. Clearwater Drifters will take you on an 8-hour, quality guided fishing trip on the beautiful Clearwater River or pristine Dworshak Reservoir. Top quality rods and reels along with bait are supplied as our professional guides provide you with their expertise. A home-cooked lunch will be provided.

Lodging and food are extremely reasonable in this area. We will be glad to assist in arranging your accommodations at any of our nice facilities.
